My Best Christmas Gift Would Be Family Safety, And Family Health!

This year if Santa wants to bring me something and believe me, I know that gifts come from God. There are two things I would like to have, the first being safety for my family as they travel, and interact with an 'out of control' world. The second would be family health, because the past five years has been a time of illness for several of my family members. Certain illlnesses make life tumultuous.
My grandchildren have other grandparents, who are taking them to Disneyworld for the holidays. They are usually home for Christmas, but won't be this year. Those grandparents were teachers, and hold four lifetime passes, so it's free except for food and lodging. The parades, roller coasters, and entertainment is a blast for them, but they know their circumstance is rare, and they do appreciate their good fortune. So for them I ask for safety, on the road, and while in Florida.
The holidays should be a time of joy and cheer, but in the last two days I have been cussed out, yelled at, and jumped on; when I had to go out shopping, paying bills, and picking up some items purchased. I've been appalled at the anger and frustration level in people, who should be enjoying this time of year. I dare say people have gone over the edge this year. I'm planning to stay home, keep it simple, and mind my own business this Christmas.
So, I've asked God for safety for my family traveling, and being out of town. I've asked him to give health and hope to those who are sick. And I've asked that those who just have to be first, to stop whining, and learn to be joyful. As for the guy who cussed me out for no reason, please, get him into a different state of mind, or back on his meds. I parked where the guys told me, who were loading the truck. If he wanted to be first, he should have gotten there sooner.
Brace Yourself! Holiday Shopping this year is not for the faint of heart!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

You have to wonder about people out shopping for presents to show the spirit of Christmas and love?? That is irony at it's best!
Hang in there, Elle. I am through with what little bit of shopping I do and enjoy watching cheesy holiday movies.
Others being rude and yelling at you can be a real disappointment. I know how you must feel. Also, you are dealing with so much illness and that is so difficult. God BlesslPlease log in to respond to this comment.Yes you are right. I try to remember that we forgive, but sometimes our flesh gets the best of us, and we want to respond so bad.
I've been watching movies at home too, it's fun, and peaceful. Some mocha coffee, and something yummy...here it's been raining, others have snow. Please log in to respond to this comment.
