What The World Needs Is "LOVE" As An Old Song Says!

Love is something that envelopes your actions, your words, and softens your outlook and reaction to the negative.  In a world full of grumpy, angry, and depressed people, a little love can make this rioting generation a bit less crazy. Love would keep evil from completely taking over our lives, as we submit to thoughts unchecked.  The activities of crime is rampant in the rotting values in this world, where people can watch the murder or rape and not help the person.

As I look across the world at the so called Revolution, it makes my head hurt to know that people think this kind of behavior will change things for the better, just look at Cuba.  That Revelation brought a dictator, and some captivated people, who cannot do anything unless allowed by the Castro brothers.  The Lenin Revolution killed millions of people, as the farmers tractors and equipment was placed with soldiers to keep them from escaping, as they starved to death.

As I look back on the sexual revolution of the 1960s, it makes you wonder just what they have accomplished. Sex is NOT love! We have so many STDs, and newer diseases, for which there is no cure.  There have been over 44 million babies aborted since the 1970s, and we have more child abuse than ever.  This lack of love toward children is causing a barbaric attitude in some people, as we look at child abductions and murders.  The sexual exploitation of children and pornography. A lack of respect for women is being pushed through religion, that would never have been tolerated in the 1980s, as women's rights were on a climb.

The world needs love to stop the divisive political atmosphere, where agreeing to disagree is no longer accepted.  Now it is a destroy my opponent attitude, and his/her family too.  There is no longer respect for the other side, and a need to work together.  Just as the super committee failed us, there is no longer a need to protect America and the freedom she stands for.  The loyalty to our country, America, has been divided, our love for our countrymen/women is gone. Looking over the world, where unrest and revolution gets more violent, love is missing.

The worker is pitted against the employer, and Wall Street intentionally, as politicians strive to destroy the very thing that allows them to be elected, and not appointed by a Tyrant.  We make a change, if we want collectively, every two to four years, but a Tyrant/Dictator is for as long as he lives....is that progress? It does not matter if the tyrant is a fascist or a dictator, it's bondage all the same, and I guarantee there is no love included.

Love isn't mushy, feel good emotion, it's stable, practical and protective. Love is truth not lies.  I vote for Love.  As Mother Theresa said before she died "What America needs is Love." Now, more than ever 'the whole world needs a little love for one another."  I'm looking for the leader who brings people together in love, not the divisive man, who can only bring hate, backbiting, and destruction. We need a LOVE Revolution...as the song says 'all we need is love!'

Elle,

I really like this article, especially the part about the sexual revolution. I actually feel sorry for people these days...some will never know the true joy of coming into a marriage as a virgin...I know that is terribly old fashioned.... some are probably laughing their heads off...but really, sex without love seems meaningless to me. You are so right about the damage our society has done by promoting the "sexual revolution."

Timely and true article - people have forgotten the real thing that makes us so human and that is love. With loves goes kindness and respect and having this in our lives makes a big difference as to how we conduct ourselves with others. At least that's how I used to see the world.
